The Watch

Most of the time I cannot stand Ben Stiller since he always plays the same character. In "The Watch" he actually wasn't 100% the same character as every other movie. Only about 75%. Vince Vaughn on the other hand was 150% the same as every other movie he does, but yet he can pull it off.

This movie was first introduced around the time of the Trayvon Martin killing in Florida as "Neighborhood Watch" but then changed the title. They also recut the promo's to show it's a comedy about aliens.

Evan (Ben Stiller) is a guy that loves his town. He starts clubs like mad and manages the local Costco. After his night watchman is brutally killed, he starts a neighborhood watch. He makes a announcement at the local football game and gets 3 recruits. Bob (Vince Vaughn) just wants to get out of his house and away from his wife and teenage daughter. Franklin (Jonah Hill) was rejected from the Police Academy and wants to live out a dream. Jamarcus (Richard Ayoade) is just looking for friends.

This movie is funny at times and let me warn you, the language is very R-rated. I think the screenwriters could have punched up certain areas and filled some plot holes but overall it is a comedy. Rent it when it comes out if you are a fan of Stiller or Vaughn.
